Part 1 of a series on Objective Morality. In this series I get into a number of things regarding our value system / ethics and how we come to know that...
- It needs to be objective for us even to have a shared justice system and rule of law
- That in recognising that it is objective and therefore can be shared, that we then have equity as a result
- That coming to know and understand that morality is (in a complex sense) objective and 'defined', is not easy and that we can often get this wrong is ways we don't notice
- That ultimately, the nature of man and his reality gives clues to the creator's intentions
This is a deeper dive into this area touching on some philosophy, Natural Law, Psychology and more.
This will serve as expanded material for video number two of a series (not yet uploaded) on CommonLawConstitution entitled 'The Test for a Legitimate Constitution'.
